‘Game Of Thrones’ Shares Inside Look At The First Day On Set Of Season 8

This officially marks the beginning of the end.

We are only hours away from the eighth and final season of HBO’s Game Of Thrones, and with the excitement also comes an overwhelming sadness. We are nowhere near ready to say goodbye to this incredible series, to the truly amazing characters. But luckily, the show is giving us a true sendoff, giving us closer looks than ever before. All without spoilers, of course. From cast interviews to a 2 hour documentary that’s coming at the end of the season, Game Of Thrones is giving us all the feels. And on Saturday night, they gave us a peek at what the first day on set of Season 8 looked like!

The clip is less than a minute in length, but it’s touching all the same. And it shows how much hard work and dedication is poured into every single day on this series. Actors were arriving as early as 4 in the morning, and it looks like they didn’t begin shooting until closer to 8! Daenerys is nowhere to be seen, nor is Arya, but the rest of House Stark, including Jon, are all present, as well as Dany’s closest advisers. What could possibly be happening!?

This short glimpse is most likely a teaser of the documentary to come. Quite honestly, it’s the perfect way to wrap up the season, the most fitting farewell to a series that we have held so dearly for nearly a decade. This is not going to be an easy goodbye, but it has to be done. Let’s just hope none of our favourite characters die tonight!
