Trailer Watch: Frank Castle And Billy Russo Return In ‘The Punisher’ Season 2 Teaser

And we FINALLY have a confirmed release date!

“I’m not the one who dies. I’m the one who does the killing.”

-Frank Castle

Frank Castle has always been the darkest, the most intense of all our Marvel heroes. And we do consider Frank Castle a hero, despite everything. Because if there’s anything that The Punisher taught us, it’s that nothing is black and white.

With Netflix’s Marvel shows getting cancelled left and right, many fans wondered if we would ever get to see Season 2 of The Punisher, a show that was quite controversial to begin with! But luckily, Netflix is keeping it around, and we’re getting it even sooner than we thought! The streaming platform confirmed that the second season of the series will premiere on January 18th, and that announcement was accompanied with a chilling teaser.

Season 1 of The Punisher ended with a showdown between Frank Castle and Billy Russo, with Frank absolutely destroying Billy’s face by smashing it over and over again into a broken mirror. The scene was the very definition of gruesome, and it confirmed what we all knew. Billy Russo is becoming Jigsaw. And so, in this teaser, we not only see Frank, but we see Billy with his freshly scarred face and unhinged mind. And the two, though so different in many ways, have certain similarities. Both are trying to figure out where they fit in the world, who they are, and what their purpose is. Frank has always been dedicated to silencing the bad guys. But Billy? We’re not so sure where this season will lead him, but we’re willing to bet it’s nowhere good.

If this teaser is any indication, we’re in for an exciting season! We can’t wait!
