Season 2 brings more chills and thrills, and is ready to turn things Upside Down.

Today is Friday the 13th, and Netflix decided to take full advantage of it by dropping the final trailer for Season 2 of its hit show Stranger Things. With only a couple of weeks to go, fans are ready to finally see what our favourite Hawkins residents are up to. And from the trailer, it looks like a lot is going down.

Season 1 was, at its core, about belief. Our protagonists tried time and time again to prove that the disappearance of Will (Noah Schnapp) was not at all what it seemed. Thanks to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), they succeeded…kind of. Though Will managed to be rescued, he came back changed. After being in the Upside Down for so long, it seems he brought some of it with him back into their dimension. And this season, it isn’t only Will who can see it. Take a look at the trailer.

It seems that one of the biggest differences between the first and second season is the acceptance and belief of the supernatural. Our characters are no longer battling against the supernatural and each other, they are actually working together to defeat the great evil coming their way. It’s Judgement Day. And Hawkins is not having it.

There will be more drama, more scares, and a lot more supernatural this season. But what really is giving fans chills is the comradery. From the final moments of the trailer, it looks like all of our favourites will be fighting this war together. And with Joe Keery and Noah Schnapp both being promoted to series regulars, both Steve and Will be included. An interesting dynamic, to say the least, considering the love triangle of Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) and Steve (Keery).

If you’re counting down the days, don’t worry. We’re all doing it too. Two weeks left.
